OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE  ​ 

We are seeking a highly motivated CLM Lead to support Contract Lifecycle Management operations and contribute to process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring efficient contract administration, metadata governance, reporting, workflow compliance, and stakeholder coordination across Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Business functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting scalable CLM processes while driving operational excellence and adoption of best practices.

KEY RESPOBSIBILITIES  

CLM Operations Management

  • Manage end-to-end CLM operational activities including contract intake, metadata validation, contract hierarchy management, renewals, amendments, and repository governance.

  • Ensure high-quality contract administration and adherence to defined SLAs and governance controls.

  • Drive operational consistency across all contract workstreams and regions.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex contract operational issues.

Process Standardization & Transformation

  • Manage the implementation and stabilization of new CLM processes and governance frameworks.

  • Define and standardize operating procedures, playbooks, decision trees, and workflow controls.

  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities across contract lifecycle activities.

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, and Business teams to simplify and optimize review and approval processes.

  • Drive adoption of best practices for contract hierarchy, amendments, renewals, and supplier governance.

Coupa/Similar CLM tool, CLM Governance & Implementation

  • Support and enhance Coupa CLM operational processes and controls.

  • Ensure metadata accuracy, reporting integrity, and workflow compliance within Coupa.

  • Drive process alignment between system design and business operations.

  • Support future-state CLM transformation initiatives and roadmap execution.

Reporting, Analytics & Governance

  • Develop operational dashboards and KPI reporting for contract lifecycle activities.

  • Monitor process compliance, turnaround times, renewal pipelines, and operational risks.

  • Provide actionable insights to leadership for operational improvements and governance decisions.

  • Ensure audit readiness and process documentation standards are maintained.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and mentor CLM operational support teams.

  • Build a high-accountability and process-oriented culture within the team.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Supplier Management, and Business stakeholders.

  • Influence stakeholders to align on standardized ways of working and governance models.

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE  

Essential

  • 5-8 years of experience in Contract Lifecycle Management, Procurement Operations, Contract Administration, or Procurement Support functions.

  • Strong experience managing CLM operational teams in a global/shared services environment.

  • Proven experience in process implementation, process transformation, and operational governance.

  • Hands-on experience with Coupa CLM or similar CLM platforms.

  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle processes including amendments, renewals, hierarchy management, approvals, and metadata governance.

  • Experience driving process standardization and workflow optimization initiatives.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and build scalable operational processes from the ground up.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Legal and Procurement operating models.

  • Experience in CLM implementation or transformation programs.

  • Knowledge of supplier governance, procurement compliance, and risk management.

  • Lean/Six Sigma or process improvement certification preferred.

  • Advanced Excel, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities.
