OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

This is not a data-delivery role.


You will sit at the heart of Flutter's Strategic Workforce Planning initiative , translating complex people data into narratives that inform board-level decisions. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning & Executive Insights in Leeds, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the Flutter Group — not a technical operator.

THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You are equally comfortable discussing methodology with a data engineer and presenting board recommendations to executive leadership. You approach challenges consultatively, ask sharp questions, and your greatest strength is the ability to  turn data into narrative — helping leaders see what matters, and why it matters now.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Insight development & analysis

  • Mine organisational and workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and strategic opportunities relevant to workforce planning decisions
  • Synthesise data-driven findings into clear, compelling narratives that connect people metrics to business outcomes
  • Collaborate with technical teams to access and validate data without owning technical delivery
  • Translate complex analytical concepts into business-relevant insights accessible to non-technical audiences


Strategic communication & influence

  • Develop executive summaries, strategic briefs, and board-level presentations that drive high-stakes decisions
  • Present findings to senior leaders and board members with clarity, confidence, and persuasive impact
  • Tailor communication depth and style to audience sophistication and decision context
  • Create visual and written materials that make people data accessible, credible, and actionable


Consultancy-style partnership

  • Adopt a consultative approach, partnering with business leaders to diagnose strategic workforce challenges
  • Ask probing questions that uncover root causes and opportunities beyond surface-level metrics
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and provide objective counsel on workforce strategy
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group


Technical collaboration

  • Work effectively with data engineers and analysts to scope, access, and validate insights
  • Understand technical capabilities and constraints without owning technical delivery
  • Bridge the gap between technical teams and business decision-makers

WHAT YOU WLL BRING

  • 5-8 years in people analytics, HR strategy, workforce intelligence, or management consulting
  • A track record of influencing senior and executive audiences - not just producing reports
  • Exposure to Strategic Workforce Planning frameworks (strongly preferred)
  • Strong data literacy and comfort with visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar)
  • Exceptional communication skills - written, visual, or in the room
  • A consultancy mindset - curious, structured, and driven by impact over output
