OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced  Workday Security Engineer  to join our Shared Capability Center based in Hyderabad. This role combines deep expertise in Workday security administration with advanced reporting capabilities to safeguard sensitive HR data and drive data governance excellence.

With 3–5 years of hands-on experience, you will administer Workday security roles and policies, conduct security audits, and develop comprehensive security reports. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies, proactively resolve access governance issues, and contribute to a secure, compliant, and data-driven HR ecosystem as part of our Global People Technology delivery model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Workday Security Administration

  • Manage and administer Workday security controls, including user access permissions, role hierarchy, and security groups
  • Configure and maintain Workday security policies and audit settings
  • Monitor Workday system access logs and security audit trails for anomalies
  • Manage the complete user access lifecycle (provisioning, role changes, and deprovisioning) within Workday
  • Implement and enforce Workday security best practices and controls
  • Troubleshoot Workday security configurations and access-related issues

Reporting & Compliance

  • Design and develop comprehensive security reports and dashboards
  • Create automated alerts and scheduled reports for security monitoring
  • Develop business process documentation reports within Workday for audit and compliance purposes

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Workday Security Administration and Reporting, with strong working knowledge of security roles, domains, security groups, and business process policies
  • Demonstrable expertise in Workday's data architecture, security frameworks, and business process configuration
  • Strong Workday reporting skills, including custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team environments
