We are seeking an experienced and diligent US Reporting Manager to join our finance team. The US Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in the preparation of the Group’s US GAAP quarterly and annual financial statements and IFRS annual report. The successful candidate will be a proactive and driven individual with a growth mind, a strong technical accounting background, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong technical accounting (US GAAP & IFRS), analytical and reporting experience are essential. In addition, candidates should be able to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong and productive working relationships with the wider Finance community within the Group. These elements will be combined with a proven ability to deliver results, with and through colleagues and peers, both cross functionally and cross jurisdictionally.

What you’ll do

  • Assisting with the preparation of various sections within quarterly and annual reports in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual report in accordance with IFRS in association with other key finance colleagues.
  • Assisting with the preparation of other external financial reports or internal financial information, as needed.
  • Managing accounting projects with wider Group finance function.
  • Supporting Divisional finance teams by participating in the development of technical training and guidance on ad-hoc issues and new accounting developments and ensure Group’s on-going compliance with the Group’s accounting policy and US GAAP & IFRS.
  • Supporting the assessment of accounting treatment for new, material, and/or complex, unusual transactions or agreements under US GAAP & IFRS, and the preparation of technical accounting assessments/memorandums with limited oversight.
  • Maintaining compliance with SOX requirements including assisting in certain tasks to comply with SOX controls, as needed.
  • Coaching and training junior team members within the team.

How you’ll do it

  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years post qualification experience and strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Demonstrated expertise in researching and documenting new accounting guidance and the accounting treatment of issues.
  • Consistent track record in project management and effective communication, ensuring tasks are completed within designated timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management or similar.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working within a SOX control environment.
