Assistant Manager - Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting

The Tax Team are led by the Tax Director who reports directly into the group’s CFO and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin and Leeds. The Tax Team works closely with the business to deliver on all aspects of Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting.

Role Overview/Purpose:

This role will be responsible for preparation of the UK and Irish Tax compliance for the Flutter Group. As part of your role, you will work closely with Group Finance and Tax Advisory, reporting into the Direct Tax Senior Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with the delivery of UK tax compliance, incl tax computation preparation, tax payments calculations and other filing requirements e.g. CIR return preparation.

  • Assistance with the delivery of Irish tax compliance, incl tax computation preparation, tax payments calculations and other filing requirements e.g. 46Gs

  • Tax note preparation/review for inclusion in statutory reporting

  • Assisting with the tax reporting calculations for inclusion in group reporting

  • Support Tax compliance and reporting of other jurisdictions as required.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor

  • Post Qualification Experience working in UK or Irish tax compliance 

  • Previous use of of tax compliance software e.g. Alphatax or OneSource

  • Awareness of Oracle EPM – Tax Reporting (TRCS) (or similar tax accounting software) would be beneficial

  • Confident, with good communication skills, and able to readily gain the confidence of the business teams and Group management
