The Role:
Flutter’s Group Reporting team is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our growing team. and to be an integral part of the Group’s ESG Reporting workstream. With new legislation and reporting requirements, this is an exciting, new and developing area finance teams are being asked to bring their knowledge and expertise into. In this role you will assist with documentation, implementation and roll out of ESG-reporting related processes and internal controls, across the Group. You will be working closely with colleagues from various teams across the organization to collect, verify and consolidate ESG data and prepare disclosures. You will also be working with our Financial Systems team implementing and testing IT systems solutions to support ESG data collection and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of Flutter’s ESG Reporting team to support all ESG reporting
- Assist with documentation and implementation of ESG Reporting processes and controls across the Flutter Group, working with colleagues from all our brands
- Work with teams across the Business to develop/ enhance and operationalize data collection and process flows, including working with our IT Systems, leveraging technologies
- Collect, analyse and summarise data from our various brands, to prepare external disclosures
- Contribute to the audit process over ESG disclosures with Flutter’s external auditors
Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in finance/ accounting
- Accounting Designation with 2-3 years of experience post qualification, preferably in a big 4/ large public company environment; Prior ESG reporting experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a SOX internal controls environment is a plus
- Process driven; A mindset for identifying and implementing process improvements
- Ability to thrive working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace change
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong work ethic – dedicated, driven and accountable
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- critical and logical thinking; comfort with ambiguity
- Strong business acumen, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; A team player.
- A driven individual, excited about taking on new challenges
- Relevant professional certifications in ESG fields are a plus.
