Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and meticulous US Reporting Manager to join our finance team at Flutter. As the US Reporting Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and adherence of our financial statements to relevant accounting standards. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to make a substantial impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support on special projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, from an accounting perspective.
  • Support on the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Plan, manage, and supervise technical accounting projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and with accuracy.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans, outlining schedules, progress markers, and allocation of resources.
  • Ensure that all relevant teams are trained and updated on new policies and procedures.
  • Train finance business partners, FP&A, and accounting teams on technical accounting matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including group finance, group tax, group legal, and divisions, to provide technical accounting guidance on transactions and business initiatives.
  • Support the preparation and filing of SEC financial quarterly and annual reports.
  • Support the Internal Controls team with designing and remediating SOX controls.
  • Facilitate effective communication between external auditors and other involved parties.
  • Assist Head of US Reporting and Head of US Technical Accounting to develop, update, and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years post-qualification experience with strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge is essential.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and thorough knowledge of current SEC reporting rules and regulations and US GAAP accounting rules.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in researching and documenting new accounting guidance and the accounting treatment of issues.
  • Experience working through ambiguity to communicate clear accounting positions and operational solutions.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within a SOX control environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management or similar.
  • Have worked in a fast-paced, dynamic PLC environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
