Role overview
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Services team within GTT. Global Services is an integral function within Global Risk & Trading, with a diverse set of operational and strategic responsibilities. These include overnight Sportsbet risk management, handling daily operational and risk management responsibilities for all B2B partners, executing pricing strategy and measuring its impact for B2B partners, and providing operational support for Adjarabet. Global Services plays a key role in executing our Global Operating Model across Global Risk & Trading. We are also responsible for ensuring that newly acquired Flutter International brands successfully integrate into the operating model, with recent examples being PokerStars Sports and Sisal.
The primary focus of this role will be risk management for the Sportsbet brand during "Melbourne Overnight" hours, which fall within standard Dublin trading hours. During this time, almost $2 billion in sports and racing bets are wagered annually. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to other aspects within the wider Global Services remit.
Sportsbet is Australia's largest online betting operator, headquartered in Melbourne, with additional offices in Sydney and Darwin. The primary focus of this role will be risk management for the Sportsbet brand during "Melbourne Overnight" hours, which fall within standard Dublin trading hours. The overnight team is a key component of the Sportsbet Trading Risk function, overseeing all racing and sports business during Melbourne overnight hours, when billions of Australian dollars are wagered each year. You will work closely with the Sportsbet Risk team, global trading teams, and the wider Global Services team, which is located across Australia, Europe, and North America, to ensure we deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers and execute risk management to the highest standard.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Manage Sportsbet’s bet referral system, making real time decisions on bets transferred to Traders for review before acceptance
- High quality execution of Risk Management processes as agreed with the Risk Leadership Teams
- Liability monitoring, management, and communication ensuring all liability procedures are adhered to
- Trading error monitoring, resolution, and reporting to ensure we comply with internal standards and regulatory obligations
- Incident management and stakeholder communications liaison during tech/product outages
- Identify and implement error prevention and price assurance measures that will help increase revenue
- Build strong relationship with Trading teams and wider Sportsbet Risk function to ensure Sportsbet receive a top-quality execution of service
- Work with the wider team and Line Manager to ensure all Global Services KPIs & SLAs are met
- Work closely with global colleagues to effectively plan and deliver on marquee events taking place during our hours of operation
- Identify common customer pain points overnight and work with the relevant teams to resolve
Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required
- Strong knowledge on the mathematics and principles of bookmaking
- Strong betting industry awareness
- Proven ability to deal with customer facing situations
- Proven track record of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
