Director of Programmes and Portfolio

Reporting directly into the Group Director of Strategic Change & Transformation, you will be accountable for crafting and driving best practice, empowering delivery teams to execute effectively on a broad and complex suite of strategic initiatives. 

The role has 3 primary areas of focus:

  • Lead and continuously optimize a central Program Management teams and potentially a Portfolio Team. This central team leads delivery of key strategic initiatives and programmes of work that span across the functional areas and brands within Flutter Group.
  • assuring quality delivery is key. This accountability will span how we shape, mobilise, deliver and assure strategies and global transformational change.
  • As Director, you will need to establish and embed a set of PMO standards, methodologies, and best practises.  

Accountabilities:                                                                                                             

  • Lead a senior central program management team who have accountability for delivering a broad suite of complex cross-domain transformation initiatives.    
  • Lead an established, senior central PMO team. 
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Flutter and build strong relationships to develop strategic success factors for major strategic initiatives and provide direction on how to achieve those success factors.
  • Drive and assure the health of major transformation initiatives. Identify and address gaps and opportunities for optimization. 
  • Provide clear, consistent and impactful insight, reporting and communications that can be consumed by all levels of the organization.
  • Provide trusted, objective guidance and recommendations on critical decisions.

  • Build and own relationships with senior stakeholders across International to continually assess and understand opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the team

  • Attract, select and support the development of high calibre talent in the team.

Experience:

  • Proven track record - effectively operating in a senior role - building and leading a best-in-class team across locations and geographies  
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience of successfully establishing, embedding and optimizing delivery best practise at scale in a global, digital environment.   
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders at senior levels throughout a global organization
  • Excellent communication, culturally aware and with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be objective, analytical and impartial with the ability to work to exacting timeline
