OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Contract Management Team Manager  will oversee the Contract Administration and Supplier Management Analysts, ensuring effective delivery of key operational responsibilities, including contract maintenance, contract management, contract lifecycle, supplier performance insight & analytics, buying channel enablement and supplier relationship governance.

This role ensures strategic alignment and operational efficiency in managing supplier relationships and contract administration, fostering compliance, and driving performance improvements.

This individual will also play a critical role in developing the team's capability to meet current and future contract management requirements while leveraging their expertise in Coupa to ensure smooth implementation and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Management

  • Manage the Contract Administration team and Supplier Management Analysts, managing workloads and ensuring timely delivery of contract management & Supplier Management services.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for contract-related queries and issues from the team or wider business.
  • Identify and address training needs to build team capability and ensure high standards of delivery.
  • Set performance objectives for the team and monitor progress against KPIs.
Contract Repository and Coupa Migration
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a centralized contract repository to ensure complete and accurate contract records.
  • Lead the team in preparing the repository for migration into Coupa CLM, ensuring data accuracy, structure, and compliance.
  • Post-Coupa deployment, ensure the repository is effectively maintained and aligned with Coupa processes.
  • Ensuring that meta-data is maintained accurately so that it can drive value-add from multiple workstreams (i.e. renewals, rebate reviews etc)

Contract Lifecycle Support

  • Manage the contract signature process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of agreements.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to track and manage contract expiration timelines, supporting renewal or termination as required.
  • Oversee contract-related queries from the business and ensure timely resolution.

Supplier Management Activity

  • Oversee the analysis of supplier spend, risk, and performance to support effective segmentation and management strategies.
  • Review and guide the collection and reporting of supplier performance data, including KPIs, SLAs, and NPS, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
  • Supporting the team in building and maintaining Preferred Supplier Lists and enabling buying channels

Continuous Improvement and Capability Building:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the adoption and optimization of Coupa CLM to streamline workflows and reporting.
  • Champion best practices for contract management across the organization.

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or contract management, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proven experience in contract management and supplier (vendor) relationship management or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with Coupa CLM or similar contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supplier management processes, including contract signature, renewal and supplier performance data
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with data management.
  • Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment.
  • Familiarity with supplier segmentation, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
