We are shaping the Flutter Cyber Security Assurance Program capability to provide “second line” oversight and ensure that our cyber security controls are protecting us against cyber security risk across all businesses within the group.

Through an independent view the team will impact the controls in place across all the group businesses by collaborating closely with our divisions to understand the design and operational effectiveness of our technology and cybersecurity controls.

On 14th May 2024, it was announced that Flutter would be moving its  primary listing from the UK to the US,  and its global operational headquarters from Dublin to New York (effective 31st May 2024).

What can you expect as part of your new role:

  • This role works alongside a team of analysts who will assess and assure the design and effectiveness of cyber controls across the group and provide insight to the divisions and key senior stakeholders regarding the maturity of the cyber security control environments and related risks.

  • Using your understanding of cyber security risk, develop and perform assessments that will accurately reflect the state of our business’s controls.

  • Identify unmanaged risks using the data from assurance assessments and provide recommendations and guidance on cyber security controls to the divisions.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with all our businesses to become knowledgeable of their cyber security risks and controls.

  • The value of your work will be used by multiple stakeholders, both at group level (e.g. Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit) but also within divisions (e.g. Directors of Security, CTOs, process and control owners). This will require that you maintain accurate records of testing activity which can stand up to scrutiny.

  • We work with and collate large amounts of data to build groupwide reports and insights, so you should be strong on data analysis (and tools such as excel), with an keen eye for detail.

  • We are aiming for high quality data and automation, so your skills will allow you to configure and maintain the tools used by the team, ensuring that they remain operational and capable of supporting the assurance and reporting processes.

Key Skills:

  • Experience as a security information security professional with an understanding of cyber security risk

  • Knowledge of security related technologies and industry standard security processes across all risk areas

  • Data-oriented, capable of determining what process and control outputs are relevant for specific risk areas and what good should look like

  • Inquisitive, disciplined and logical mind who possesses strong investigative and analytical qualities that will translate into creating and deploying assessment techniques that will provide a comprehensive view of cyber security risk based on complex data sets

  • Results-oriented with the ability to influence outcomes with pragmatic recommendations and guidance

  • Awareness of current IT Security standards such as ISO 27001, PCI, NIST, ISF, UKGC and Data Protection

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISA, ISO 27001 auditor)

  • Able to adapt communication style and to appreciate different and opposing perspectives across multiple divisions

  • Strong English language abilities, capable of effective communication both orally and in writing
