Style of work – Hybrid (Flexible)

Do you want to be the person who executes the platform operations strategy that supports the optimal running of global trading platforms? In this role you will do just that, within our GTT arm (Global Trading Tribe), so that platform health is a key tenet of the GTT.

As part of our team you will drive process and tooling change to enable the value streams to operate the products and platforms they build. This will include the likes of self-serve managed services that provide transparency of platform health, provide effective incident management support, and deliver operational metrics so that the value streams can better support the outcomes they deliver. 

You will own key stakeholder relationships that enable the GTT to operate its products and platforms successfully. These stakeholders include the infrastructure teams through which GTT infrastructure operations are managed and enabled, Global and Brand sportsbook teams and end consumers of trading products and platforms that are essential to their success, GTT cloud engineering teams, and GTT value stream product engineering teams and site reliability engineering.

What can you expect to be involved with  as part of your new role?                     

  • Owning the platforms operations strategy for the GTT (Global Trading Tribe)
  • Ensure standards, processes and tools are defined, agreed and maintained for supporting our products 
  • Lead data quality and confidence of operational health and ensure that the Tribe and stakeholders have easy access to data, to inform decision h of relevant products to the Global Trading Tribe 
  • Ensure enablement of 24/7 operational support of our products 
  • Lead the creation of SLAs, SLOs, Costs, Error Budgets, MTBF & MTTR with value streams 
  • Own key Flutter brand relationships with consumers of GTT products and platforms to ensure feedback is captured and reflected in the NPS (or similar) of GTT value streams from a brand consumer perspective 
  • Own key Flutter Infrastructure relationships (Global and UKI, cloud and on prem) that are dependencies for operation of GTT products and capabilities 
  • Provide leadership on the direction and backlog of the cloud engineering capability, alongside the Cloud Engineering capability lead, within the GTT 
  • Establish processes that provided individuals within the tribe with clarity on their operational responsibilities and who they need to collaborate with, to ensure world class operations within the Global Trading Tribe  
  • Own key vendor relationships where required on behalf of the GTT 
  • Influence Value Stream Leaders by making pro-active suggestions and recommendations and challenging recommendations that don't fit into the Operations Strategy 

This might be for you if you have:

  • Experience working within or close to software delivery
  • Understanding of the important of platform health in the delivery process 
  • Ability to formulate and communicate strategy 
  • Ability to work through a large set of unknowns and translate them into Process, People or Tech requirements 
  • Have lead through influence and engagement and developing talent 
  • Stakeholder management with technical and non-technical stakeholders across levels of an organisation 
  • Previous interaction and engagement with senior management in your role
  • Great communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sports betting and trading technology environments and the products that are built thereon
