Reconciliation Analyst
Function Overview:
As an Analyst within the Corporate Reconciliation Team, you will be responsible for reconciling assigned payment processors and ensuring that these balance to our general ledgers. You will take ownership of the reconciliation process, which will include reviewing and processing all activity. You will perform the reconciliation's throughout the month, ensuring that they are up-to-date and are ready for the month-end closing process. During month end, you will be preparing journals to post to the company accounts, as well as completing discrepancy handling and reporting. You will have close liaison with external payment processors as well as the Payment Product and Payments Commercial Teams and will also be responsible for the escalation of any contractual settlement breaches by processors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, confidence in following complex formulas and understanding the impact these have in a spreadsheet. Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal. Attention to detail, a methodical and logical approach, and the ability to work with large data sets.
You must have the discipline and ability to work on your own and as part of a team, to deliver to pre agreed deadlines. You should be flexible and open-minded in your approach to your work and be proactive, not reactive while working in a fast-paced environment.
This role would be suited to someone with a reconciliation background or someone with the soft skills required and the ability to challenge themselves in a new role.

Experience:
-Experience in Reconciliations & complex investigations
-A strong working knowledge of Excel
-Excellent attention to detail, methodical and logical with the ability to work with
large data sets.
-Experience using Oracle accounting system.
-Accounts experience
