Role Overview/Purpose:

This is a key position, reporting to the Head of Group CRE Workspace, with specific responsibility for managing 4 workspace clusters across the global business portfolio. This role will play an integral part in the implementation of the CRE teams’ strategic strategy for the business and involve regular engagement with senior business leaders as well as critical functions such as risk, finance and people.

The successful candidate will manage the operational budget of the workspace teams within their region to ensure that we operate effectively delivering services within budget.

This person will continually strive to improve the services across the business with the ambition to deliver world class services. We want to deliver workspace that engages our internal customer allowing them to be more effective. The successful candidate will have a good of understanding of workplace trends both current and future.

Key Deliverables

  • Alignment of CRE Workspace with the core ESG Corp strategy.

  • Digitalisation of the workplace (tech integration, frictionless experience, communication)

  • Future Ways of Working (cost management, services, data, experience, globalisation)

  • The successful candidate should have all relevant experience in CRE/FM/Workspace and worked for multi-national organisations with specific experience working across different regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure best practice and implementation plans are appropriately positioned with other Regions to enable them to execute successfully.

  • Stakeholder and Key Stakeholder engagements in each General Manager to ensure that the services provided by the Workspace team are suitable and deliver what the business needs to operate.

  • Experience influencing stakeholders through leveraging relationships, expertise, and data.

  • Ability to build and lead teams, with and without direct authority.

  • Frequent travel to offices in your portfolio scope.

  • Development of workspace policies in line with the global workspace group, with the principle of simplification.

  • Preparation and management of workspace operating and capital expenditure budgets.

  • Professional development of your direct reports.

  • Supporting the Group CRE Workspace Development and Delivery Team with office specific projects.

  • Oversee the Implementation and management of H&S procedures working with the Group CRE Risk & Compliance team to deliver a healthy and safe working environment.

  • Work with the Business Continuity team to ensure that we can effectively manage any event that may disrupt our core business activities.

  • Work with our Outsourced Business Partner to ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards.

  • You will own the CRE Workspace relationship for some of Flutters divisions and workplace services initiatives. You will engage and collaborate across Flutter, enabling the implementation and execution of Workplace services and experiences. You will be expected to synthesize and develop a workplace strategy across the internal CRE teams, while simultaneously working with external business areas, including culture, finance, services, and physical space, and ensuring alignment in our CRE delivery and messaging.

  • You will develop and motivate other exceptional leaders, build trust in difficult situations, and consensus from senior leadership team with diverse opinions and contribute to a trusted CRE relationship. You will enable effective decision-making and keep information circulating so that CRE can evolve business needs and enable our product areas.

  • Demonstrate leadership and executive presence to build relationships, educate, and influence business leaders and their teams.

  • Prepare and deliver timely, relevant, thorough, and tailored communication (written and verbal) that balances the needs of the business with the solutions and timeframe that CRE commits to.

  • Lead a team to adapt to changing needs, proactively resource, and balance near-term goals and long-term strategy of the business with workplace priorities.

Technical Competencies
 

Detailed knowledge of and strong experience in building services and maintenance, construction and property management

  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration

  • Working knowledge of financial principles and practices

  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management

  • Working knowledge of procurement and contracts

  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations

  • Strong supervisory experience

  • Competent user of FM software tools and MS office applications incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
     

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Educated to degree level with suitable qualifications in Facilities Management, Property Management or Construction Management.

  • Membership of the IPFMA, IWFM, CoreNet or other professional body, NEBOSH or IOSH qualified

  • The suitable candidate will have the experience in FM and will have a demonstrable track record of being the responsible senior manager of a number of regional large corporate offices or similar facilities at a multinational business.

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
