Role purpose:

Reporting to the Group Treasurer, this key role has strategic responsibility for treasury technology on a global basis. - Systems play a key role in our treasury transformation project, and the role has full responsibility for enhancing existing treasury systems and processes on Flutter Treasury’s journey of continual improvement to be best in class. The group is implementing an in-house bank based on a liquidity structure with virtual accounts and will leverage this to further centralise treasury cash management and operations across the group.
- The role requires working closely with treasury and finance colleagues to understand the needs of the organisation and has specific focus on the latest trends/developments and offers from our banking and other core technology partners.
- The role is suited to individuals with strong project management & technical ability, and demonstrable interpersonal, communication and networking skills. Extensive experience of treasury and banking systems for a large multinational company is essential.
Accountabilities will include:
- Lead on transformational systems & process enhancements, including the implementation of an in-house bank structure and a payment transaction monitoring system, working closely with banks, system vendors, consultants and treasury and finance colleagues.
- Leverage treasury technology to further rationalise the group’s underlying banking infrastructure, utilising the group‘s most capable banking partners and enable the centralisation of the group’s cash management and payments processes.
- Review and analyse the effectiveness & efficiency of group treasury systems, interfaces & associated controls, seeking the opportunity to automate & reduce manual processing wherever possible.
- Evaluate, configure & deploy new systems and application modules, enhancements to existing systems & applications, to introduce efficiencies & strengthen controls.
- Liaise closely with the Group Finance Systems team to ensure alignment of priorities during a global Oracle ERP roll-out.
- Oversee & manage the network of existing systems & interfaces that the support daily operations of the treasury function (including FIS Integrity, Bottomline Swift Service Bureau, Bloomberg, FX All, SWIFT, banking platforms).
- Cultivate and develop relationships with the group’s banking partners & software suppliers, particularly in respect of matters pertaining to treasury systems & technology offerings.
- Collaborate with members of the Treasury team, the Finance Systems team, the IT Architecture team and software suppliers in respect of treasury systems & interfaces.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
- Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users and team members.
- Develop TMS reporting in line with user requirements.
- Lead and develop two treasury professionals & contribute to a high-performance culture across the team.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements/Experience:
- Treasury / banking professional, with at least 5 years of relevant treasury and/or banking experience. Accountancy qualification an advantage.
- Proven experience in overseeing the strategic direction, development, and implementation of treasury software solutions.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
- At least 3 years proven people management experience.
- Ability to build strong networks and relationships with internal and external parties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to convey ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
